This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies the Avaton website uses and how you can manage your consent. It supplements the Privacy Policy, where you will find information about the controller of the personal data and about your rights.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to function properly, to remember your preferences and to collect information about the way it is used. We also use similar technologies (e.g. local storage in the browser), to which the same rules apply.
2. On what basis we use cookies
Essential cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and proper functioning of the website and do not require your consent.
Analytics cookies are loaded only after you give your explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 5).
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1. Essential (necessary) cookies
Necessary for the functioning and security of the website. Without them, some parts of the site do not work. They also include a cookie that stores your choice regarding cookies.

3.2. Analytics cookies (loaded only with consent)
They help us understand how visitors use the website (which pages are visited, how much time is spent on them) so that we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited).

The information collected via Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed by Google on servers outside the EEA, including in the USA, subject to appropriate safeguards (see the Privacy Policy). More about how Google uses data: Google Privacy Policy.
4. We do not use advertising cookies
At present the website does not use advertising/marketing cookies and does not track your behaviour for third-party advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent.
5. How to manage and withdraw your consent
- Via the cookie banner: on your first visit you can accept or decline analytics cookies. Declining is as easy as accepting.
- At any time afterwards: use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the site to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before it.
- Via your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that blocking essential cookies may impair the functioning of the site.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technologies used or the legislation change. The current version is the one published on this page, with an updated “Last updated” date.
